Looking for Therapy? A year ago, I thought about creating a newsletter, which is crazy because I will confess, I don’t really read newsletters 🤦🏼‍♀. But in a moment of clarity, I knew I had impactful experiences and interesting insights to share.

This thought was immediately followed by busyness, distraction, and reasons why I shouldn’t which made me more comfortable in the short term. However, here I am, finally challenging my creativity (which has been quite dormant 🙇🏼‍♀), channeling my passion for communication, and adding a little more to my already full plate…

So why create it if it’s hard work? And who even reads these? 🤷🏼‍♀

Because I know that life is more fulfilling when we make room in our day-to-day to execute long-term goals and do challenging useful efforts. I’ve never run a marathon, but I predict sending this email out will have me feeling like completing a big race! 💪🏻

As to what’s in it for you? On this issue, I want to share what I think it takes to accomplish big goals…

Insight if you are Looking for Therapy

If your are looking for therapy, these tips are for you

What does it take to turn wishful thinking (a newsletter) into “intentionally executed” (an email in your inbox)?

  1. Clarity: long term objectives matter if we want to look back at our lives and feel fulfilled.
  2. Define: exactly what you want and for what purpose
  3. Understand: what it takes for you to make this happen
  4. Redirect: shift energy from daily demands and routine to prioritize meaningful goals that aren’t “time sensitive”
  5. Create: get uncomfortable as you develop new skills and take on challenges that take you closer to where you want to be…
Whether this applies to a personal project, a desired change in a relationship, or a professional objective, the above can apply!

This Newsletter doesn’t need to be ALL about me hahaha 🤭… so please feel free to share with me any big goals you may have or respond with your thoughts and suggestions.

I’m Elsa Hines, a licensed therapist who works with individuals, couples, and businesses. I am thrilled to connect with you through my very own newsletter, which is well out of my comfort zone. But then again, those who know me know that I think comfort is highly overrated.
